Everyone has gone to facebook, I suppose. The only posts I see regularly are from Warren Ellis. This is lame.

Facebook is too ephemeral, and of course, has the worst possible policies towards user privacy - something LJ figured out ages ago. By ephemeral, I mean - people's posts are gone in a few seconds, because they're buried under the dross of farmville, which-pop-culture-numbskull-am-i, mafia wars and other pointless drivel.

I miss reading what my friends are up to, working on, and thinking in a substantive way. We're left with "I just had a ham sandwich!" or "Off to [some show I've never heard of]" and drunken pub pictures.

why, thank you
my apologies for the typos and poor construction; the days are long here for the production, and we're doing our best to see as much as we can, meet as many people as possible, and soak in as many experiences as we can during this incredible adventure. I do believe in second-drafts and spell checking, but at least most times my first draft is understandable. I'm thankful I learned that drinking while posting on the internets is a very stupid and dangerous thing to do occurred back when we were using a 300 baud modem, and there were only a handful of list-serves and primitive chalk-and-slate boards

If "Game of Thrones" does not catch on and become a hit in HBO's eyes, it won't be for a lack of effort, skill, expertise, talent and knowledge by all people in the production. they are doing remarkable work, and it's been so much fun to be here.

Keep on writing coherent sentences my my friends, we may be the last of a dying breed, but we'll go with our 'Elements of Style' and dictionaries clutched in our withered and weathered hands.
