One pumpkin pie
One cream apple pie (this is my pie)
One Vermont apple pie (with maple syrup...for my brother)

Also fruit, nuts, and those little Andes after dinner mints...

At my parents house, it's two kinds of pie, or one pie and a cobbler if my mom's been busy.

At our house, royalcrown makes a pumpkin pie, and I make one other pie, usually pecan or some manner of fruit. If we have lots of people, I make extra pies, but pumpkin is RC's province. When we were in San Diego, I always bought Julian Apple Pies. Freaking awesome.

One pumpkin pie.
One pecan pie (sometimes with bourbon).
One baked cheesecake, with or without strawberry topping. The first two are the "necessary" desserts, though.

pecan pie for sure, sometimes pumpkin as well. occasionally sticky bread pudding (from my SIL's family), but i seem to recall that that's more of an xmas thing.

i suspect that after this year, we could go back to having the traditional rum balls as well... >;)

Generally pumpkin pie, and then either apple or pecan, with ice cream.

Pumpkin pie and pecan pie, though there are always tons of additional items, as well. Those are the constants, though, at my house!

Interesting. So would you say that pecan pie was just the preference of your family, or does it represent a tradition, like pumpkin pie does?

Would you say the pecan pie is the same sort of tradition as the pumpkin?

My casual observations 'round these southern parts is that pecan is as traditional as pumpkin, though I can tell that's not the side you're looking to support ;)
