The woman I marry, whomever she may be, will have to be willing to get married in this dress.

You see? This is one of them litmus tests. Any woman who wouldn't do it is clearly not the right one for me.

You ask too much from a mere mortal woman!!!

I on the other hand would have totally worn it if Jeff had asked. :) But only if he had am matching suit! :)

Oh hon, I CAN'T WAIT to tell you about the new Barbie Entertainment property I'm working on. I can't talk at length about it yet, but without details, there's a character of certain ... simian characteristics, one might say, that enables me to make a whole line of toys following that theme.

Heh. I actually thought of you and my other like-minded friends at my Mattel meeting last week - the word "monkey" and related phrases like "toy monkey", "monkey marketing research" and "interactive monkey" were thrown around far too much for me not to smile to myself and marvel at the coolness of my job.

ZOMG! "Monkey marketing research"!!

Oh, the images that brings to mind!

"Subject #3, what qualities does this product have that you associate with comfort?"

"OOOoo, eee, aaaAAA!"

See, now I thought you'd latch on to "interactive monkey" much more. :)

The "Monkey Market Research" went more like:

Marketing Guy #1: "Marketing proves kids ages blah to blah love playing with monkeys..."
Marketing Guy #2: "But, does it take gender into account? I feel like monkeys are more of a boys market. Do girls really love playing with monkeys?"
Me, chiming in: "...Doesn't EVERYONE like playing with monkeys??"

Yes, I totally did.

well, there's a reason I think you're too cool for color tv.

Oh, you're all talk.

And to think, you decided to spend Wednesday hanging out with a gorgeous, fun, smart, Russian beauty in Vegas, instead of have drinks with me while I was in town. I mean, DUH. You cut me deep there, man.

Ironically, we were at the Standard just the night before! She really wanted to go. What did you think, by the way?

You know what, it got totally bullocksed up... the reservation-girl at my office didn't know there was an old one and a new one, and weren't even staying at the ultra-swanky new one! We were at the one on Sunset Blvd. (I'm assuming you're not talking about that one.)
In any case, it was full of gorgeous young plastic creatures just the same, who were dying to be seen. Eh.

But I had breakfast next to Tim Gunn, so that made it worth it!

Apparently though, I'm probably out at Mattel again in Novemeber, I've just been told, so you better be around, buster!

With bells on! The one I'm thinking of is on 6th and Grand, downtown.

Hmmm... looks itchy.
So the sacrifice can start right from "I do"?

One imagines adequate undergarments would remedy the itchiness.

But really - we're imagining some woman willing to marry me. "Sacrifice" isn't really adequate as a descriptor - I think outright desiring to suffer is more like it.
