It's a nano-technological science fiction story about resistance to ecological spoiling in a post-diaspora future. There are augmented human beings, strange nanotech, and other elements of a story that might fit well at iGargoyle. I had gotten about half way through it, but set it aside when I got stuck, and then was inspired to write "Three Lions" my fantasy novel.
I got up early today to go to a coffee shop and re-tool the first chapter for submission. I had the file on my laptop, but hadn't done anything with it in months - really, since I got to California. I dug up my old notebook that my story notes on it, and set out....
Only to find that the file is corrupted. Gone. I am hoping against hope that I have a copy on my computer at home .... if not, it's just dead. I don't know if I could recreate it, to be honest. I suppose I could, but obviously that would take a lot longer than just editing.
