But my quick thoughts are; this is the movie I wanted to see in Episode I. It has the verve and grandeur of the original three movies. It is visually gob-smacking. It lacks serious character development in some important ways that make a few crucial scenes slightly puzzling - but it also lacks (mostly) the cardboard flat dialogue of the first two installments.
In all, an amazing epic - and a fine highpoint to end the (movie) franchise on, even if it is an incredibly downbeat ending. Epic, amazing, and without a doubt worth seeing.
