Yesterday, the producers of Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go came in to the studio to preview some upcoming episodes. They talked about upcoming work, the details of which naturally I can not here divulge. But suffice to say, a whole bunch of new episodes are going to be made, and they've got to get them written and sent off for development quickly. The Big Boss here, knowing that I'm a writer, asked if they'd use freelancers for the writing, and they said they'd be happy to take a look at any scripts written on spec - they'd even send over some sample scripts and guidelines.
So, folks, this means that I'm going to write a script and submit it, knowing that it will get taken seriously and read by the people who are decision-makers. This is a break. This is is a BIG break. I'm absurdly excited about it, and I'm already coming up with story ideas. I'm not here two weeks yet, and already a big break.
Did I mention it sort of feels like LA is taking care of me? There's other good news, too, but at the moment I'm all a-flutter and can't remember it. 2005 is looking like it's going to shape up grand, indeed. More fun that a barrel full of robot monkeys!
