President Bush's latest ad features a pack of wolves, gazing ominously at the screen while the narrator intones an incantation meant to conjure fear in the hearts of the listeners. The message is that Americans should be afraid - afraid not just of terrorists, apparently - and not of the reckless arrogance of their own administration - but also of wolves.
But the wolves have stepped up and responded to this de facto endorsement of wolves for Bush. They insist that they do not support President Bush in the election, and feel that Americans should be more concerned with the preservation of wildland (an issue far more dear to the hearts of wolves than terrorism) and thus have created an organization to respond to President Bush and Republican's unfair slandering of their image.
