SoCal Beach Report

There's a seaward wind blowing today, and the tide is low. Normally a breeze from the land is hot, dry and dusty - but since it rained last night it's actually cool. Still, the wind is brisk enough that it's actually kicking up quite a mist out to sea - the result is the ocean and the sky are exactly the same color (which is just the color of "her" eyes, and I wrote and told her so.), and appear to make a wall up into the heavens.

Imagine those old maps of the flat earth. Where did the seas go, at the edge? Falling off into an endless waterfall, right? Now imagine those endless waterfalls going UP - and you've got what it looks like outside my door. Cool and sunny, too.

Such Great Heights

... and then I discovered that the door leading to the roof does NOT have an alarm on it.
And I really CAN go up on the roof, whenever I want.
And see to the end of the world.
And up and down Venice Beach.
And way into Los Angeles.
