Martian Death Flu
Tuesday morning I woke up with a sore throat. By tuesday afternoon I was feeling flat-out sick - and I barely made it home from Santa Monica Tuesday night, my head was swimming so much.
Wednesday I was worthless, and stayed home. I couldn't sleep because I had the shivers and shakes, and the cold medicine wore off halfway through the night. I bounced back a little in the afternoon, and managed to get out of the house last night. It might have been too much, though, because today I lost my voice and am feeling wretched again.
I would guess that this is the flu -- it sure feels viral rather than bacterial, since it's not localized. I'll bet if I went to a doctor they'd say, "It's the flu, drink plenty of fluids." On the plus side, I've lost five pounds in the last two days. If only I could keep that rate up! Only, without the sweats, the shakes, the froggy voice ...
