TV, or not TV.

For four short days, I had tv for the first time since I moved to LA. One of the roomies got his room hooked up for cable, and while the guy was out, he gave me a splitter to hook up to the modem line. In the storage thingies under the car port, one of the other roomies had an old, 13" tv he let me borrow, and voila, there was cable in my room.

I spent some time Sunday afternoon watching "Mythbusters". I felt guilty for not doing something productive (which might or might not include levelling up in WoW...) and wondered if maybe I ought to just put the tv back in the storage thingy, and fogeddaboudit.

And then yesterday morning, the internet was dead - and it turns out that it's because of the splitter. It worked for four days, and then no more. So if I want the internet to work, I've got unsplit the line, and have no TV. If I want TV, I'll have to get them to come out and run a new line altogether. Hardly seems worth it for a TV the size of a paperback book.

So, the fates have spoken. No tv for me!
