Has anyone else had issues with people reading your journal that you're not altogether comfortable with?

A long time ago, I fretted and fought with one of my ex-girlfriends. I didn't want her reading my journal, but she kept reading it. I had it at diaryland but switched here to LJ, basically so I could lock up some entries, share others with friends, and make others private. I've used that function a lot!

Even now, my most recent ex-girlfriend (Hi Eowyn!) keeps checking in, sometimes two or three times a day. It's a little disconcerting, because she never evinced that much interest in me when we were actually dating (which is presumably why we are no longer dating...) and doesn't actually talk to me, or communicate with me. Is it weird that she keeps reading this?

It's not a big deal, because what's public is public ...what's private is private - and what's just for friends (or even specific groups of friends) I can make sure only the appropriate eyes see. But still, it's a little odd. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so - how did you deal with it? Have you ever had to deal with someone who is outright hostile, and uses information they learn to hurt you? (I have...)

To some extent public journalling entails a sacrifice of privacy. The compensation is that you get an audience -- is it worth it?
