We have to end up in London. That's about it.

Westminster Abbey was amazing. It impressed Steve the most of all the places we visited. I enjoyed the Tower of London, and Windsor Palace isn't a far day trip from London, and was a great place.

If you can, GO TO WALES. Go north to Snowdonia and experience the Mountains. Wales will always, always, always be the Middle Earth of my heart. And the Lakes District (in England, just east of Snowdonia) is positively Rohanic.

We were in London in late May - it's a great time of year for it.
Tower of London: Worth it. Pimm's Classic: Drink it. Dungeon (the haunted house one): Skip it.
The Kensington Gardens aND the gardens around Buckingham Palace are gorgeous that time of year, and the flowers will be in full explosion. Also, it's likely you'll see a million goslings, cygnets and other baby animals of cuteness. Not that that's special or exclusive to London, but it makes Kensington Gardens sort of this magical place.

Other than that, I can't advise. We'd love to see outside of London. Congrats on going... you're going to have an awesome time. :)

Island hop. Your arms will get tired and you both will need the rest. ;)

One of my personal fantasies is to go to an old English castle and shoot arrows from the ramparts or towers. You can try checking if any tours offer the opportunity to do that.

When we went to the Galway moot in '08, the Eurocommies on Ranland were a great resource for planning our trip. Our favorite spot was the Rock of Cashel, fwiw.

Just don't listen to Pod's advice. It turns out he knows nothing about the country because he's not really Irish. ;-P
